🚨 Latest Update (May 2026): The GCC Grand Tours Visa pilot is confirmed for Q4 2026 (October–December), starting with a UAE–Bahrain air corridor. Biometric smart gates at Dubai International Airport are already operational. Full 6-country rollout expected in late 2026 or early 2027.

🌍 What is the GCC Grand Tours Unified Visa?

The GCC Grand Tours Visa — officially branded as the GCC Unified Tourist Visa — is a landmark agreement between all six Gulf Cooperation Council member states. Modelled after Europe's Schengen visa, it will allow tourists to visit the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman on a single visa for up to 90 days.

Currently, tourists who want to visit multiple Gulf countries need to apply separately for each country's visa — a costly and time-consuming process. The GCC Grand Tours Visa eliminates this barrier, making the entire Gulf region as easy to visit as a single country.

💡 What This Means for Expats Already in the Gulf

✈️
Easier Travel Between Countries
If you live in Qatar and want to visit Bahrain or UAE on weekends, you will need only one visa — not separate applications for each country.
👨‍👩‍👧
Family Visits Made Simpler
Family members visiting expats in the Gulf can travel across all 6 countries on a single tourist visa without multiple applications.
💼
Business Travel
Professionals attending meetings across UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar in one trip will need only one visa instead of three.
💰
Cost Savings
Currently applying for UAE + Saudi + Qatar visas can cost $150–$300+. The unified visa is expected to be significantly cheaper.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Is the GCC Grand Tours Visa available now?+
No. As of May 2026, the visa has not launched yet. A pilot is confirmed for Q4 2026, starting with the UAE–Bahrain corridor. Be cautious of any agent claiming to offer this visa currently — it is not yet available for applications.
Will Pakistanis and Indians be eligible for GCC Grand Tours Visa?+
Based on official briefings, South Asian nationalities — including Pakistanis, Indians, and Bangladeshis — are expected to be included in the eligible list. However, final nationality eligibility has not been officially published yet.
Will GCC expats with residence permits need this visa?+
No. If you already hold a valid residence permit in any GCC country (e.g., UAE Emirates ID or Qatar QID), you can typically travel between GCC countries without a separate tourist visa. This unified visa is primarily for tourists visiting from outside the GCC region.
